I Love to See the Temple...

John and I were married January 2nd, 2010 in the Dallas Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Early that morning John picked me up. We were so excited, nervious and anxious.

Latter-Day Saints are sealed together for time and all eternity in special sealing rooms in the temple. We knelt across an alter from eachother, and held hands as the marriage was performed. Sealings are not public showings, in fact they are limited to faithful Latter-Day Saints. This is because the Temple is the House of God and is a sacred dwelling.

It was a hard decision for John and I to be married in the temple. However, I know we made the right choice. I cannot describe to you the incredible spirit we felt there. It was the most powerful feeling of peace and comfort I have ever experienced. We felt so close to God and to one another. Our eyes were wet, and our hearts full, and we entered into a covenant with each other and with Heavenly Father.

When we came out of the temple, our family and friends welcomed and congratulated us. It was a really special moment.

As we drove away from the temple, we just couldn't believe we had been married.
It was truly a perfect day.
